Broken upper rack

Flat head screwdriver at most

We struggled a bit to get the old adjusters off and used the flat head to push in the release tabs. If you already have the old one off, you won't need any tools. Be careful when snapping the new adjuster and the height positioner back into place. They have to be lined up just right for the tabs to click in. It's useful to have an extra set of hands to guide the piece together. If you can, take pictures from all angles, especially undersides and backs before you disassemble the rack so you know where everything goes.

The dish rack adjuster broke under normal use. We had never used the adjustment. It is just poor quality materials from the factory... Just like the lower rack plastic wheels.

Small screwdriver to gently press the release tabs that hold the parts together.

It is best to completely remove the dish rack from the machine and put it on a table or large flat surface. Take a clear picture of how it is put together on the good side of possible. Gently remove the old broken part and replace with the new one. There is a release tab the clicks the parts in place so you need to press it gently to remove the old one and carefully install the new one. This is not a tough job but it takes patience. Don't force the parts because even a new part can break from force.

Left side dishrack adjuster was broken - one of the tabs that fit into the glides had broken off.

The upper dishrack is removed from the glides when this repair is made. The right side dishrack adjuster was intact. I just copied the right side configuration when I installed the left side. Reinstalling the rack in the glides can be a little tricky - there are 4 tabs that need to align with slots on glides. Might need a helper for reinstallation.
