Grinding noise from washer when during spin cycle.

Screw driver, pliers
Repair & Advice
Removed back to locate pump. Released hose clips, unplugged wires. Had to tip washer to get to screw on underside to remove pump. Slide out old pump, insert new pump, reassemble.

Washing machine making whining/groaning sound - made noise when not spinning - decided it was drain pump. I removed drain pump and could observe zero obstructions but figured that is the only thing it could be making the noise. My part arrived immediately

Drain pump on LG Top Load washer making a screeching noise.

#2 Phillips screwdriver, Flat blade screwdriver, towels to catch water
Repair & Advice
Our 3 year old washer started making a screeching noise during spin cycle once tub was mostly empty. Easy replacement of pump via rear access panel, but did have to tip washer toward front to get at a bottom screw on pump. New pump is working fine so far.
