Problem
Door Handle broke from door
Tools
Multiple screwdrivers to hold retaining clips on door
Repair & Advice
The door handle is made up of three parts, the handle itself and the top and bottom pieces that hold the handle to the door. The top and bottom pieces are held to the door by screws that thread into the pieces. The pieces themselves have short extensions that accept the screws and the extensions go into the door itself. The extensions broke leaving the screws and part of the extensions in the door.
There is a trim piece on the inside of the door that needs to be removed. Once it's removed you would normally be able to access the screws for the door handle except in this case where there is another retaining piece that holds the glass in the door held by clips. The manufacturer could have placed holes in the retaining piece that holds the glass in place to access the door screws but instead decided not to, therefore you have to remove the retaining piece for the glass to access the door screws. You need to push the clips back however due to their locations you cannot do it one at a time and need to push several clips back before you can get the glass retainer to start moving. I had to use several screwdrivers to hold the clips before I could get the retainer out.
Once I had the glass retainer out the door replacement was easy. I then snapped everything else back in. What I don't understand is why isn't the pieces that hold the door handle to the door not sold as separate items? They are held to the handle by screws so you don't need the handle itself but it is sold as one item.

Problem
Door handle on Electrolux microwave degraded and cracked--became unusable.
Tools
Philips screwdriver and new door handle.
Repair & Advice
The repair was seemingly straightforward, but took me longer than I thought since I needed to remove the rectangular frame on the inside of the door (6 screws) in order to get to the screws to mount the new door handle.
