Problem
We were getting an error message on the front control panel that the main control board and the dispenser control board were not communicating correctly. The inside lights for the freezer and refrigerator were not working and the ice and water dispensers were not functioning. The refrigerator and freezer were staying cold. From the research I did, the most likely problem was either the main control board was bad or the dispenser control board was bad. But I also read that you could not change just one of the boards and that they neeed to be changed together. I first checked to make sure the connections were on right on the existing boards and that there were nonlose wires causing the issue. I then changed both boards, which was very easy.
Tools
Two screwdrivers, a credit card (to protect the door when I was prying the trim off with a flat edge screwdriver) and a flashlight.
Repair & Advice
The repair was very easy. For the dispenser controller board all I had to do was pry back the trim around the water/ice dispenser just enough to access the top of the controller board. There are two screws to take out then you can slide the board out. No need to fully remove all the trim. I then swapped the new board and slid it back in and tightened the two screws and snapped the trim back in place. I then changed the main control board underneath the refrigerator as well.

Problem
Display membrane was punctured. It still functioned but wanted to fix it.
Tools
Putty knife, fingernails and Phillips head screwdriver.
Repair & Advice
Pride loose the trim from the top with the putty knife until the bezel trim piece popped loose. It is flexible and the entire trim is one piece so you only have to get the upper portion to release to access the mounting screws the hold the display. Then removed the two screws holding the display. Disconnect the wire connectors and reconnect them to the new board. Really lace mounting screws. Reattach trim. I had to push really hard on the trim edge near the middle crossover to get the trim to catch.

Problem
I have a Frigadaire FGUS2632LE2 refrigerator. We had a power failure from our electric company and the next morning, I saw SY CE on the front display where the temperature reading should be. I also had no ice dispenser control or any lights in the refrigerator side. I replaced both circuit boards as suggested, and then the freezer would not come out of defrost cycle. Long story short, I received a replacement display board and after re-installing the original main control board, the new display board fixed all the issues with this refrigerator. Apparently, in my case, the display board was the issue all along and not the main control board, as was suggested in many of the other threads I read on line.
Tools
You just need a screwdriver to replace the display board.
Repair & Advice
See explanation above.
