Problem
Water dispenser would slow to a trickle
Tools
Philips screwdriver, small flat screwdriver, 1/2" wrench
Repair & Advice
Turn water supply off.
Disconnect power supply
Remove lower back cover with screwdriver
Unscrew valve body mounting screw
Release and remove the two wire terminals from valve to refrigerator
Position a towel and bowl under valve before removing the water lines and keep in mind water line to filter may siphon back non stop so you may have to put your finger over line to stop the flow until you get it pushed onto new valve.
Remove the small ice maker and water dispenser lines first, one at a time by pushing retainer ring towards valve and gently pulling plastic line from valve.
One of the lines may have a black locking collar on it which you use a small flat screwdriver to release locking tab and the collar should swing open into two halves so it can be removed from around line.
Once the first line is removed, install it on new valve before proceeding with second line. This will make sure you get the right line connected to the right control valve.
(you don't want to push the water dispenser and it dumps water into your ice maker)
Repeat process for second line.
Remove water supply line from valve using wrench that fits your fitting and reconnect it to new valve.
Position new valve into place and reinstall valve body mounting screw.
Reconnect the two wire terminals to refrigerator.
Now would be a good time to check your condenser coil for dust build up and clean if necessary.
Reconnect your power and turn water supply back on.
Check for leaks and check operation of the water dispenser.
Reinstall back cover.
