My freezer wouldn't defrost

The most difficult piece was getting the old part out and figuring out how the deflector fit back with the new part. To get the old one out I couldn't find how to remove it. I found a youtube video where they talked about just bending down the tabs. I did this and it all dropped out. it's a poor design and it doesn't seem that this is a part that is designed to be replaced. I think if it's done more than a time or two the tabs that hold the part in can break off. In reinstalling I found it best to put the deflector up in to position first then put the new defroster in to hold it in place. The defroster has to be plugged in before you try to put it back in place. Once I had it all figured out the job could have taken about 10 minutes or less, but being unsure of even how to get the old one out took much longer.

Freezer not defrosting.

Phillip head screw driver.

After defrosting the freezer with a heat gun it was easy to work on. Just a few screws to remove. Removed old one replaced it with a new one.
