Problem
Refrigerator would randomly change from water to ice settings. The dining from across the house was maddening

Screwdriver, youtube, and a positive attitude
Repair & Advice
The release mechanism for this part is inside of a hole on the underside of the panel (near the dispenser). Used a screwdriver as a probe to release the mechanism and removed. Simple cable after that.
