Problem
The lid cracked
Tools
Phillips head screw driver and a punch
Repair & Advice
This was fairly simple. You take out the screws on the side of the broken lid and from the open position you pull the lid straight up and off its support arms. You then use your punch in the hole below the lid lock to depress the lock and turn the latch counter clockwise and off. Install the latch on the new lid. Then pull out the 2 rubber stoppers from the old lid and install them on the new lid. Then slide the new lid down onto the support arms of the washer and secure with the same screws you took out of the broken lid. That's it.

Problem
Top Loader Glass lid plastic on the left side broke away allowing the hinge to pop out
Tools
1/4 nut driver, Phillips screwdriver, 1 nail
Repair & Advice
The plastic on the lid broke for some odd reason. The washer is 1 yr old. The extended warranty the appliance store sold us did not cover this to my dismay. The appliance store wanted $183.00 for the lid and $125/hr for the tech with a min of 1hr.
I ordered it from Parts Dr and it arrived in 1 DAY!!
The removal of the old lid was simple, loosen the screws on each side and loosen the overall control panel and it popped right out.
Installed the lid in reverse order and needed a nail to release to door catch / lock to twist it to the left and it popped right out. Installed the original door catch and it was done.
Total time was 20min
Savings of almost $200.00 compared to the appliance store which is NOT a big box store.

Repair & Advice
The door did not come with some of the parts needed to easily replace the lid but we were able to salvage them off the old lid. I’m not a professional so would not have thought they wouldn’t be included as needed for lid to operate. Salvaging the old parts off the old lid was very difficult. It was some rubber grommet pads and the all important lid latch. Thankfully it wasn’t broken but getting it out required breaking all the plastic around it. Was not a safe thing. Would’ve been nice to know it wasn’t included for lay people who are forced to fix their own stuff as repairmen is not come out during a pandemic and said people are frugal! But as for the lid, it was what I ordered.
