Problem
The dryer timer was not turning to the correct setting. The knob would turn to the setting but the timer was not.

Unplug the dryer. Pull the dryer from the wall to access the back. Remove the screws to access the timer. Remove the wires one at a time and connect the wires one at a time to the new timer. Made sure the wire is connected to the same post as before. Remove the plastic knob by pulling it off the timer. Remove the old timer by unscrewing one screw & then turn the timer to remove from the slots. Install the new timer and screw everything in same way it was unscrewed. The new timer fixed the problem.

Problem
The timer on my GE dryer was broken. I replaced it with a new part from partsdr. The part didnt work. The sales person told me I may need an additional part which I ordered. It did help.
But the timer still needed replaced. They sent me a knew one. It is also a little "spongy" but good enough.

They just snapped right out and right back in. Connecting the wires was a little tricky. Done!
