Repair & Advice
Hardest part of this repair is releasing the 2 spring clips. Accessed from the side towards the front. Stick your putty knife in the gap between the panel and washer. Move knife rearward, itll stop against the spring clip. While pulling upward on the touch panel assembly, pull back really hard to release the spring clip. Other side is the same. I made the mistake of trying a butter knife first, dont! The butter knife is too stiff and wont flex like a putty knife.
1) move washer away from wall, remove corrugated drain
2) locate and shut off water supply
3) remove hot/cold water lines (they will leak everywhere so have a towel ready)
4) remove 5 screws holding the upper rear cover panel on
5) remove upper rear cover panel, may take some finesse.
6) now you'll see the main power board, verify the green LED is on, if it's not, stop and replace main board.
7) now that you have verified the main board has power, unplug washer.
8) remove the touch panel, detailed above. Be patient, it's a pain in the butt.
9) once panel assembly is free from the washer, carefully rotate 180 degrees to expose the bottom side
10) unplug wire from touch panel, be careful, I broke the retaining arm on the defective old board. My board was fried right where the connector attached. You could see a black, soot like, mark where the board failed.
There's 4 screws that hold the touch panel to the plastic, color matched base. If you cant find the exact same color, no worries. You can swap the new board onto your old base. I did this exact process because my base was damaged in shipping. Corner was broken off. Not Parts Drs fault. Box came mangled and is solely Ups's problem.
Plug new touch panel in, before assembling the rest of the washer, power unit up and verify proper functionality. Repeat steps in reverse order! Now do those 12 piled up loads of laundry hahah.
Good luck!

Repair & Advice
Watched a Youtube.com video on how to troubleshoot my washer. The video demonstrated how to remove the top cover and where to find the troubleshooting manual. I followed the manual and it started with testing a controller board, which had a LED. The LED was flashing so the next steps was to press any three buttons one after another three times to produce a code. The buttons did nothing an no code was provided. Next step was to replace the user panel. I ordered from Whirlpool and there was a back order. I went to PartsDR and you had one in stock so I ordered from you and canceled the order from Whirlpool. The part arrived in 48 hours. I swapped out the part and the washer is working normal again.
