Problem
The oven took forever to heat up..
Tools
Screwdriver.
Repair & Advice
Never had a convection oven before. Looked at online info for that oven and everything said sensor. Part came very fast. Was easy to put in. Unfortunately, that was not the problem. Because I couldn't see the bake element I didn't realize that is what blew. Another story.

Problem
Oven temp would climb and not shut off.
Tools
Phillips screwdriver.
Repair & Advice
Whirlpool electric oven would not respond to temp settings and would climb to dangerously hot temps. After some quick research, I went with a faulty temperature sensor. Arrived from Parts Dr quickly and it was super easy to replace. Oven works like nornal now.

Problem
Oven wouldn't get to any temps above 350 and wouldn't maintain temps.
Tools
Screwdriver.
Repair & Advice
I use convection roast at 400-425 fairly often and found that the oven would maybe get to 400-425 and then would drop the temp and basically stop producing heat. This was initially hard to catch the issue as there's no indication of any error. Figured out that I could run it at about 350 and it seemed to maintain that temp - some time had to turn the oven off and back on again to sustain 350.
Did some research and couldn't find a lot of others with the exact same issue description but found enough that it seemed to be pointing at the temperature probe to be faulty (my oven is just over 3 yrs old) and I'm not used to Kitchenaid appliances failing so early in their life.
After replacing the probe, the oven now gets to temps at 400 and above and sustains them (I have a thermometer in the oven now to allow me to check/verify the temp)
The only thing that's a bit odd though is that the "preheating" on the oven panel never seems to turn off - so I might also need to replace the control panel even though the oven is now working properly.
