My Refrigerator would not cool and the compressor was not coming on. My Freezer Evaporator was also freezing up and I had to keep thawing it out with either a heat gun or blow dryer so that the freezer could work for a few days.

Needle Nose Pliers. Also, a cordless drill and adapter to take off your the back panel of the refrigerator.

I purchased this part to replace the original and everything started working again properly. Make sure to unplug the unit from the power source for safety before working on the unit. I recommend this company for all of the parts that you need for your home kitchen appliances. Thanks, Anthony

Refrigerator / freezer stopped cooling

Our refrigerator stopped cooling overnight. The freezer also had thawed. The display seemed to all be ok. We unplugged it for 15 minutes to attempt a reset in case that helped anything. It did not. We took the back panel off of the unit and unplugged and re-plugged to re-energize. We did not hear the compressor turn on. This made us suspicious of the starter/capacitor. After unplugging again, we unclipped and removed the starter and capacitor. Using a continuity meter it seemed that the starter was not working. The starter and capacitor are apparently sold as a kit so we ordered this kit. Upon replacing these parts and re-energizing the unit, it worked - the compressor came on immediately. The original clip we had for these parts did not work on the replacement part, but it is working ok without the clip. We put the back panel back on the unit after a day of running to be sure it was ok.

No cooling in fridge/freezer

Bought a Relay/Capacitor for cheaper from Amazon. It broke after a day. Next, I purchased the relay/capacitor from this company and my fridge and freezer has been flawless since. I keep a thermometer on the fridge/freezer to track max temperature and I haven’t had any issues. I should have purchased this product first. I would highly recommend this part over cheaper versions.
