Each time Ihere was a power outage, my fridge would not come back on until a day or two later.

Needle nose pliers.

I found that a component on the control board had a continuous steady clicking when this happened and would stop until the fridge decided to come back on. Found a number on the board that matched my fridge make and model on Parts DR. Took a chance that a new board although pricey would solve the problem and ordered it rather spending over a grand for a new fridge and the time, measuring and hassle evnvolved with replacement. Installed the new board on my own and to my delight the fridge is now working as good if not better than it did before. Thanks Parts Dr.!

When ever I lost power, even for the shortest of time, my fridge would not run when the power came back on until a day or two later.

The last time this happened, I pulled the fridge out from the wall and heard a sound behind a metal cover in the back. I removed the cover to expose a circuit board that had a component on it that clicked steadily and repeatedly and did not stop until the fridge decided to come back on. I found a number on the board and I matched it to the make and model of my fridge on the Parts Dr. web site. I decided to take a gamble that the "control board" was the root cause of the problem and ordered a new one even though it was a little pricey for a chance it might not even solve the problem. Still it was cheaper than calling in a repairman that might not have been able to fix it anyway, and much cheaper than a new fridge to say nothing about all the time and hassle that would come by replacing it with one that would fit. I ordered the board to ship over night and received it the next day as promised. I installed it, plugged the fridge back in, heard one click from the board, and to my delight the gamble payed off! The fridge started to run again and it has never run better since. Thank you Parts Dr.!!
