Repair & Advice
Wow, had to take the washing machine completely apart, marked everything well, discovered the problem and ordered parts. Parts Dr. shipped two day and items came in when I expected. I really appreciate the advice that the bolts some times break when removing the flange shaft (this was on the page where I ordered the flange shaft). I wasn't going to remove the bolts until the new part came in. But after the advice, I removed the bolts and sure enough one snapped. So I ordered it also. Great advice! Took a couple of hours but I got it back together again. Had a problem with the unit kind of chugging and not engaging after assembly. I look at the coils and noticed a build up on them, cleaned them with a very soft lint free cloth and it started working like a charm. While I was at it I replaced the door boot seal that was discolored. Very happy with Parts Dr. and highly recommend them!

Repair & Advice
With a front loader, you literally have to take the washing machine apart completely, which may sound daunting. But, what do you have to lose? Great learning experience with plenty of tutorials online, and went smoothly. In the end, this $100+ part saved me spending an additional $700 on a new washer, and I acquired the knowledge on how this all works, hoses, clamps, etc. Spins like a dream now and completes wash cycle. Again, if you have the time, what do you have to lose? To note, I didn’t want to waste money, so I took the machine apart first to see what the problem could have been.. and was pretty obvious with a super corroded and broken in 3 spots spider flange.
