Problem
Samsung Dryer would not stop spinning until door open or unplugged
Tools
screwdriver
Repair & Advice
Our Samsung dryer after a year or so of use would not stop spinning until the door was open or it would be unplugged from the wall. After some research online it was apparent that it is a rather common issue with those dryers. Per recommendation on one of online forum boards I opened up the dryer and unplugged all connectors from the main control board for about 10 seconds then plugged them back in. That resolved the issue, however only for a couple of weeks. I went online and purchased a replacement board from partsdr.com (it was cheaper by about $30 than the other sites I checked and I am not getting paid to say this). The part took about a week to get delivered and once installed, the dryer has been operational since. I have been using the part for less than a month though, so if it fails I will update this review. The procedure is easy, however I do recommend taking a picture of how the connectors are connected to the board before unplugging them; also do not rip them out - there are little locks you have to squeeze in order to remove them but it still requires some strength to do.

Problem
Dryer Automatically Started Running When Door Shut.
Tools
Phillips head screwdriver and small flathead.
Repair & Advice
Very "plug and play" part. Use Phillips to remove top panel of dryer and screws that fasten the control board to frame; small flathead useful to undo the wiring harness clips. Be sure you keep track of how everything is plugged in but most of the harnesses can only go in one way so even that would be hard to mess up but not impossible...overall a straightforward part replacement and it is working perfectly.
