Repair & Advice
This is a very easy repair on my model.
As always, UNPLUG dryer before any repair!
2 screws at the top on the back and then you can slide the top towards the back to remove. Initially can be a bit tough to slide but it will go.
Inside, mounted on top of the drum is a control board.
Take a picture so you can remember where the wires go.
Each connector is held in by a clip that must be pulled back to remove the connector.
There are two or three screws holding the control board to the drum.
It might be easier to remove the control board before the connectors so you can see them better. But then it might need more hands to hold.
Installation is the reverse of removal. Make sure all connectors are fully seated and locked in place as they can vibrate loose.
Sliding the top back on can be a little challenging. Make sure the tabs go under the front fascia. The screw holes in the back should be lined up and flush when the top is in place.
When complete, plug it it and it is ready to use. No reset required.
This is a very easy repair that can be done by anyone with a screwdriver.
Skilled handymen can do this in 15 min
Should not take much longer for anyone who is handy around the house.
