Problem
Washer made a routine clanking noise while operating in all modes and had extreme difficulty trying to stay balanced during the spin dry cycle.
Tools
Long screw driver, hammer, large hose clamp pliers, Phillips screw driver. Long nose needle nose pliers.
Repair & Advice
When the new parts arrived much sooner than expected and I had examined the contents and documentation I was expecting a very simple and easy job to replace both shock absorbers.
I removed the bottom front panel to find access to the mounting pins for the left side clear and easy to remove and replace. The right side was the opposite of easy. Ultimately I ended up disconnecting the water level sensor with the large hose clamp pliers in order to gain access to the upper pin for the right side shock absorber. Once I did that, removing and replacing the mounting pins was much better. With a little difficulty, I was able to reassemble the water level sensor and test the washer. It worked and sounded like it did new. It was most certainly worth my time and expense. I also wish to mention that after searching out the three main online appliance parts websites, Partsdr.com beat them all, hand down!

Problem
#1: Door would not lock, so washer wouldn't start;
#2: Shock absorbers were sticky with oil and washer thumped during its spin cycle.
Tools
Screwdriver, pliers, hammer and long thin stick, channel lock
Repair & Advice
The door lock mechanism was very easy to replace and your video was very helpful. As a woman my hands are small so I was able to reach into the narrow space and had no need to remove all of the parts that you recommended.
The shock absorbers were much easier to access than any video showed. (You don't have one for this procedure.) I don't have the strength in my hands to remove the bolts (pins?) which hold the shocks in place. So in the end I needed to remove the back of the washer to allow space for the tools necessary to get them out. Replacing them was easy. Most of the repair time was spent removing the back and replacing it.
Each procedure took about 15 to 30 minutes.
Both parts arrived very quickly and were exactly what I needed. However, I wish that I could have purchased the wax motor only, instead of the complete door lock mechanism.
