Problem
Compressor kept running when unit was off
Tools
Screwdriver
Repair & Advice
Easy to replace, just remove the screws from control panel, unplug the connector and the control panel comes right off. NOTE: When removing the cover to replace the printed circuit board, the cover flips up from the bottom. It does not come completely off.

Problem
Display on old control board would become dim and controls were locked so no operation of unit was possible. A few times the problem was resolved temporarily by unplugging unit, disconnecting wire harness from control board, reconnecting, then plugging unit back into outlet. After doing this, the unit would work for a few days but then the problem would recur when control board display would become dim and unit would not operate. The only explanation was that the original control board which is about 13 years old was failing so I ordered a replacement
Tools
Phillips Screwdriver.
Repair & Advice
Very easy to replace board. Remove front cover then unplug wire harness. After that, lay the front cover flat on a table, remove the screws that hold on the control board and replace the old control board with the new one. Reinstall screws, plug in wire harness and reattach front cover. Very easy repair and part is OEM.
