Problem
Broken Seal
Tools
Screw drivers, sockets, some wire for the silicone diaphragm
Repair & Advice
Start by taking the top front and side panels off. Set tub on it's back once front cover is off, and back magnet rotor is removed. Getting the silicone thing off is the hardest part. I've found using small wire to make loops that I can grab helps to pull the spring apart so it can be un-latched or re-latched. Remove the top hanging springs, and bottom shock absorbers. Split the tub and pull the drum. The spider is made of some type of pot aluminium and if the seal is bad it is likely bad and the bearings may also need to be replaced. Re-assemble in reverse and it should be good for another 10 years of work.

Problem
Washer sounded like a jet engine when on spin cycle.
Tools
Screwdriver, wrench, hammer, punch and ratchet set.
Repair & Advice
This tub seal was the correct size for my LG WH2455 washing machine. Tub seals that I purchased elsewhere were not the correct size and let water get to the bearings which caused them to make noise after 4 months. Highly recommend this part. Thank you Parts Dr.
