- Flame Sensor
CustomerRobert from NY
Gas flame would not always come on after the igniter started to glow brightly. Suspected that the flame sensor contacts were not opening. Vacuumed out all the lint in case some was blocking the sensor window, but the problem persisted.

Repair & Advice
Took the wires off the sensor, removed the 1/4" screw off the top, and rotated the sensor down until it came out. Reversed the steps with the new sensor. Ran a drying cycle to verify that the new sensor opens when the igniter got hot.
