Gas oven would not light but broiler was functional.

Nut driver, Screw driver.
Repair & Advice
The control panel on our gas range that shows the time and temperature for the oven was malfunctioning, i.e. incomplete numbers. The broiler control functioned and the broiler would light. You could set a temperature on the oven control but the oven would not light.
Replacing the clock timer control board was easy. Power off at breaker. There are 3 sheet metal screws facing the wall at the top back of the metal housing in which the oven controls are mounted. There are 2 more sheet screws at the lower edge of the trim panel in the front.
If your oven has speed bake with an indicator light in the metal housing, be very careful when you remove the housing. There is a clip on the back of the housing that holds the speed bake light bulb and is attached to the red speed bake light lens. The wires to this clip are very short and if you remove the metal housing completely before releasing the speed bake light lens from the clip you may damage the clip and/or the lens. After you have removed all the screws, loosen the metal housing just enough to get your hand in behind it and slide the clip off the lens. Once this is done, you can remove the metal housing. Remove the electrical connectors from the control board and the four screws holding the control board to the metal housing.
The new control board does not come with a range control overlay which is the stick on plastic sheet that has all the control panel buttons. You can order this separately for about $20-$25 or you can reuse the sheet on your old control board by removing it gently and then mounting it on the new control board.
Assembly is the reverse.

Repair & Advice
My first clue was the clock screen was black and the oven wouldn’t work. Parts Dr gave the possible locations to find the model number and it was right where they predicted. The part number included the schematic to ensure you were looking at the same configuration and part set up. Parts Dr always has the best in stock selection at the best prices.
