Problem
Our Ice maker totally quit working. Would not dispense water into tray, moving parts were not moving. Upon disassembly and inspection I found one trace connected to an electrical component burnt and separated. There was not a clear reconnection point so I opted to purchase a new part instead of attempting to solder the connection back together.
Tools
1/4" nut driver bit on drill, pick or small screwdriver to assist in releasing electrical connector clip.
Repair & Advice
Simply loosen the two screws on the left that attach ice maker to wall of freezer. They may be hard to see but they can be felt above the area where ice tray is. No need to fully remove the screws, ice maker will slide upward and off once the two screws are loosened. Leaving screws in place will assist in placing new ice maker.
When connecting new ice maker, water may begin to dispense immediately so be sure to have ice maker in place to catch water from dispenser chute at the rear of the freezer when connecting the electrical connector.
Wanting to not damage the new ice maker I was not able to thoroughly clean the ice tray area as it was blocked by the ejection fingers. Because of this I let the ice maker work for about 12 hours and dumped all of the ice it made in that time before consuming any.
