Repair & Advice
The Bosch stove oven combo unit : The replacement panel arrived in good condition /packaging . The instruction tip sheets in the product Description photos were not included . I tried to read them from the website but resolution was hard to read . Suggest parts dr include those sheets.
I had to read some you tube videos and read between the lines on installation manual of the appliance to figure out best way to take unit apart.
Turn off power to oven but. To remove the old control panel, The entire unit must be pulled out about 6 inches . Remove lower oven door per oven manual to have room to work and avoid tipping . Do not try to remove microwave door. remove six black screws on the frame that holds unit in cabinet. Slide unit out carefully. Do not pull on microwave door. I did and the hinges came out of alignment .
Remove 6 screws of the microwave shield plate . Remove top screw from each side of the frame . Panel should slide off easily . Unplug all of the connectors to the control board . Take a photo before unplugging to remember which wires go to which plugs . The new panel has different locations and the one white small plug on right can barely reach the new plug. You have to clip off zip ties around the wire bundles to separate some of the connectors so they will reach new plugs. Plug them in , slide panel onto unit. Replace screws. Slide unit back into cabinet . Replace cabinet frame screws. Replace lower oven door . Turn lower back on. The new panel worked!!
