Well...make sure you check your temperature in the freezer before you purchase an ice maker. My unit was leaking Freon so the freezer was getting above 20F. Ice production slowed and I misdiagnosed the problem. Unfortunately the expansion coils are not currently available so the fix is at best weeks away. Parts Dr. is a great supplier but I had to return the unneeded part...the Ice Maker.

Ice maker in my 11 year old Thermador refrigerator stopped working

Removed 5 screws and the ice maker, bought a new one and hooked up the wires and reinstalled the 5 screws holding it in place. The one thing I had to figure out and it was easy was that needed to take the support bracket off in order to install the new ice maker. Very easy job.
