Problem
Initially defrost issue causing the refrigerator to warm up after 7-8 days.
Secondly after new board - ice not dispensing.
Tools
Philips head screwdriver, needle nose pliers for plastic stand clips.
Repair & Advice
So this was a replacement for the first Parts Dr. control board for my GE Monogram refrigerator.
The first one fixed my initial problem (which was the defrost cycle wasn’t functioning). However, I noticed immediately after the repair the ice auger no longer spun and wouldn’t push ice out... after some additional troubleshooting I found the control board wasn’t sending line voltage to the auger..
Now the Good Part :-)
I called Parts Dr. and they forwarded me a simple online form to fill out. I completed it and later that day I was told another control board would be sent right out.
The very next day I received the new board and installed it. Happy to report all is well!
THAT is customer service and product support DONE RIGHT!!
Anyone can get a bad part.. it’s happened to me before.. it’s how a company handles it is what is important. These guys do it right!!
