Element failed with a beautiful light show inside the oven.

I found the manufacturer's parts diagram, looked up the needed part and ordered from PartsDr. The element was a direct replacement in a Whirlpool box, assuming that means it's OEM. I'm not sure how much that matters considering I've replaced both factory elements on this oven in the four years I've owned it.. time will tell how long the replacements last. Replacement is simple, three screws hold it to the overhead inside the oven, there are two electrical connectors on the element that if you're lucky you can access from inside the box. Unfortunately, on mine, one of the wires was a little too short making it too difficult to reconnect from the front. Easy enough, pull the oven out, remove the screws from the back access panel and you're where you need to be. A #2 phillips and about 15 minutes of time is all you need to make this happen.. part of the 15 minutes was spent vacuuming behind the oven while it was pulled out.
