Repair & Advice
We bought a house with a poorly maintained dishwasher. I had spent several weeks dissembling and cleaning every part I could without removing the dishwasher from the cabinet. One problem persisted: the dishes were not drying. After reading some online information, my symptoms pointed to a defective float switch. It seemed like an odd part to affect the drying cycle, but I decided to replace mine. When I removed the old float switch, it was packed with black gunk. (That's the made-up scientific term for it, btw) Replaced the float switch with the new one, which consisted of removing the filter assembly and removing two screws from the bracket that held the float switch in place. After installing, the dishwasher drains properly and does indeed dry the dishes correctly now. I appreciate having the repair part I need available and at a reasonable price. Most people would just assume a defective unit or end-of-life and chuck it out for a new one. Now I can use that money for another project. Very happy with the outcome.

Repair & Advice
My dishwasher was not getting hot. Online videos showed me it may be the cheaper float switch and not the element as many people assume. Ordered the genuine part from Parts DR. and just like the last 3-4 times I ordered from here the part came fast and was exactly the genuine OEM part listed. Parts Dr. is great and has saved me tons of time, money and hassle. Get it up folks!
