Problem
Errant display was hard to read and somewhat non-responsive.
Tools
Screw driver was all that was required
Repair & Advice
Somewhat invasive to get to in that there were a lot of screws to take out. I just sorted the screws by what part they came out of and it all went back together beautifully. Displayed flickered at first when I got everything back together but then cleared up and hasn't flickered since. It must have had to reset something with the new display.

Problem
Microwave display/clock problem - jumping display, slow clock, limited panel response.
Tools
Screwdriver with magnetic tip, internet, brains.
Repair & Advice
Replacement part works great. No need to junk a $1000 GE Advantium oven, or deal with an appliance repair guy who knows less than you do. Just do an internet search on your problem (DuckDuckGo, NOT Google!). If you spend enough time sorting through the tripe, you'll find both an answer, and a video on how to install the part. If you are moderately comfortable with electronic printed circuit boards, and connectors, you can handle the task.

Problem
The display was flickering to the point of not being able to read it.
Tools
Only tools needed was one standard, and one short phillips screw driver, and one small straight screw driver.
Repair & Advice
This repair required pulling this unit out of the cabinet and setting on a cart. Then removing the @20 screws which hold the metal rap around cover. Once this cover is removed, there are four screw which hold the display panel, along with two plastic retainer clips. Once the panel is removed, there are two additional phillip screws to remove, which hold the display panel. The only other item to remove is the wiring harness, which simply unplugs.
