Repair & Advice
There was a mishap in our kitchen when someone fell over an open oven door. It didn't appear to break the door but the hinge springs no longer held the door properly. After a quick internet search, I was able to find a video on how to replace the hinge springs. I ordered two replacement spring hinges and also two hinge receivers just in case those parts had also been damaged. My son and I proceeded to replace the door spring hinges, which basically involved removing several screws. Following a YouTube video it wasn't that difficult. Replacing the oven door hinges seemed to fix the problem, so we didn't have to tackle the more time consuming replacement of the hinge receivers. The entire repair took approximately 30 minutes. Our Kitchen Aid oven door now operates correctly.
