Microwave stopped heating, gave error message pointing to main board issues

The control board from Parts Dr. was an exact match to the factory unit, down to the bar codes and numbers on it. The board is right behind the right side display and controls. Only a few screws and some tugging to get it exposed, then a few screws to unbolt the board. There are several plug connectors that needed to be pulled. All were unique, so no chance of mixing things up. Glad to be able to save this microwave. It was only 2.5 years old. I am disappointed in the poor quality of the electronics by Whirlpool on a $500 microwave.

Control Board for my over the range microwave failed

Contracted Parts Dr. with my error code from my Whirlpool over the range microwave. They informed me I needed a Control Board. We received board and only had to remove two screws and two screws to remove the control board, disconnect seven wires to install new board. We are backup. Thanks Parts Dr.

Fan only was working. I looked up the error code and found it was the main control board

My husband is an electrician and he repaired it successfully

I can't rate the difficulty, (so will just pick an answer), as my husband repaired it and since he is an electrician he is very knowledgeable on how to disassemble, repair and reassemble these type of things.
