Repair & Advice
Whirlpool has the pump in the front part of the dishwasher underneath so this can be performed by removing the bottom access panel and insulation. No need to fully remove dishwasher to fix it. I removed my because I had water damage to the floor. Ultimately found that when the pump failed it also allowed the water to leak by through it and on to the floor. If you have the water draining issues. Use a shop vac to remove the left over water while waiting on the part to come in or you might end up with leaking similar to what I found.
