Problem
Washer failed to drain. Multiple error codes: F21, F33, SD
Tools
Slip jaw pliers
Repair & Advice
First thing I noticed was the new pump - a part that superseded the original - was much larger the original pump. Guess someone at Whirlpool/Kenmore realized the original pump wasn't big enough to handle the job. In spite of being larger, the new pump fit exactly where the old did. Took all of maybe 10 minutes to install, the hardest part being the reconnecting of the drain hoses (cramped space and having to lay on the floor to do it). Since replacing the pump, I haven't had a single failure or error code.

Tools
Pliers, 10mm socket, phillips screwdriver
Repair & Advice
Unplug washer from electrical outlet. Remove front lower plate using 10mm socket. Remove drain cap on clean-out and drain all water into shallow pan, using wet/dry vacuum to remove water from pan until water has stopped draining. Disconnect wiring harness and two hoses from drain pump assembly. Tilt washer on back legs to access two screws. Block washer to prevent it from tipping forward. Loosen two screws and remove drain pump assembly. Install new drain pump and tighten two screws from underside. Connect both hoses and wiring harness and lower washer to floor. Plug in washer and run a rinse and drain cycle to check for operation and leaks. Install front cover.
