Problem
Lower front stove glass was broken
Tools
Phillips #2 screwdriver
Repair & Advice
This glass came with everything except the handle assembly, the schematic makes it appear it is just the glass. The hardest part is ensuring you do not break the glass when installing it, fortunately it is pretty tough but care still needs to be taken.
1. Remove the two screws holding on the handle, these are located inside the oven door. NOTE: at this point the handle is no longer usable to open/close the stove door!!! You will have to use the sides of the door in order to open/close as needed.
2. Remove the three screws across the bottom of the stove, this is usually easier by putting the stove on it's back or at least tilting the stove backwards.
3. Clean up the original handle, plastic stand-offs, and backing plate.
4. Lay the glass face down on a mat, large towel, or another soft surface.
5. Put the plastic stand-offs and handle in place on the front of the glass and rest the glass back on top of the handle assembly.
6. Place the screws into the backing plate and slowly lower it into place, being sure to put the screws into the holes.
7. Tighten down the screws. Do not over tighten or you risk breaking the glass. They should be firm and not allow wiggle between the front handle and the backing plate. If there is wiggle and the screws are tight then disassemble and investigate the issue.
8. Put the glass front in-place and thread in the bottom screws, do not tighten yet.
9. Using the sides of the door (not glass) pull open the oven door and attach the two screws on the handle. Since the bottom is not tight you will need to be very careful as to not break the glass and it should align pretty easily. Tighten these screws fully.
10. Tighten the bottom screws fully.
