Not drying dishes

Unit was not drying dishes. Pulled the dishwasher out and removed the heating element for inspection. Checked the continuity and it was fine, so I called a local repairman and he said that if the element was fine, 95% of the time it will be the control board, and he was right. Pulled the trigger on the board, which PartsDr had the best price on, a couple of screws and a T10 or T15 torx bit and the face was off, disconnected the wiring harness, plugged the new one in and good as new. All in all, the job should only take you 30-45 minutes at the most. Make sure you kill the power to the unit because you could easily bump the console with the door down and short something out, or worse!

Whirlpool WDT790SLYM3 reporting error 6 or 6-6, soil sensor & thermistor assembly problem but not sure it could be control problem too.

Bought this and soil sensor not knowing if sensor would finally fix problem. Turns out soil sensor fixed it (plus heater which was first code 7-1, heater bought from others). Soil sensor fixed last problem so have this new control unit just sitting around now not being used. However given comments elsewhere will keep it just in case.
