Problem
Bearings were failing in Whirlpool Cabrio washing, squealing and water leaking on the floor. The problem was a result of factory components attached to the bottom of the shaft that had loosened over time allowing the shaft to drop which also damaged the bearings.

Repair & Advice
Disassembly was not difficult. Probably spent more time cleaning washer components than doing the actual replacement of the bearings and shaft. The Tub Press Tool kit worked very well and was a good price compared with other sites. The washer works as good as or better than it did when new. Watch repair videos online, there are plenty. If you start hearing a squeeling noise, repair the washer as soon as possible because the squeeling noise is the motor components rubbing together

Problem
Broken seal, leaking tub, loud bearing
Tools
Axle/bearing/seal kit, tub press tool kit
Repair & Advice
Job is moderately difficult and time consuming. Have a large channel lock, crescent, allen bits that fit a ratchet, and some brand of liquid wrench for bottom large nut as it will probably be rusted from the leakage. There are several youtube videos. The one explaining how to use a small car jack and a 2x4 to remove the tub without having to yank on it 1 million times was extremely helpful. Be prepared to flip the washer over and back several times, and give yourself some space. I started where my washer was, but moved to the garage in the middle... Not recommended. Be sure you actually got all the bearings knocked out before you try to use the press, or you're gonna have a bad time. I put 1-2 hours, but plan for more like 3 if you've left this for too long and you have to get that rusted nut off by spraying it repeatedly with rust penetrator.

Problem
Tub shaft and Bearing replacement due to failed bearings. I believe upper seal failed first and resulted in the upper bearing washing out.
