Problem
Washer repetitively blew thermal fuses.
Tools
Star-drive screwdriver, flat-head screwdriver, philips-head screwdriver, 1/4" socket + ratchet.
Repair & Advice
My dishwasher would shut off mid-cycle. I had to replace or jump across the thermal fuse to get the washer to come back on. I would drain the washer by using the 'Cancel' button. Upon further inspection after several thermal fuses were replaced and blown - I found evidence of overheated wiring.
I ordered a replacement wiring harness. Once delivered, I removed the existing harness and replaced all connections with the new harness. The washer has been running just fine ever since.
Sidenote: The microswitch that functions with the washer float came apart during the harness replacement. It took me 30 minutes to figure out how it went back together, and another 30 to get it fixed, reinstalled, and checked for functionality. If you are planning on replacing the wiring harness... find out what type of microswitch is used in your washer (if it uses one) and order a couple in case the native switch is lost or broken in the harness installation process.
