Repair & Advice
Removed the top panel, and front lower panel of GE/Kenmore He2t front load washer (circa 2008 sears) after leak from rear right corner presented.
Move washer, Run Sample Cycle
Opened washer to confirm leaking position while running drain portion of cycle. Leak originated from near rear drain hose clip point to back of washer housing
Unplug Washer
Ordered this part (WPW10114608 Drain Hose) and waited 1 week for it to arrive.
Threaded old part into washer and then removed tube from remaining clips - used pliers to release metal clamp from hose. (Note routing and position of hose as related to machine and wall before removal from either)
Reversed the process with new drain tube attempting to replicate positioning or original tube.
Experienced minor issues threading through metal housing on back of washer - persistence helped.
Cleaned out drain filter also (strangely obstructed by front base plate on this model). - Removal of drain filter will cause water to leak - 1-2Qts approx.
Plug Washer back in and run sample cycle, then close washer and move back to position.
