Problem
Our washer's metal door latch broke in half.
Tools
Pliers, nail, phillips screw driver.
Repair & Advice
Unscrew the plastic thing that holds the washer door together, take a nail to push a pin up to get the broken latch out, put in the new door hook latch in, screw the plastic cover back on the door, and done. The hard part is finding the right part. We got something from amazon, but it was plastic and not the right piece. We had to unscrew the door to know exactly what part we were looking for. Can't just assume!! Luckily, parts dr has it available and was the one we were looking for!
