Problem
The drain hose broke when I accidentally pulled on it too hard. It was brittle from aging.
Tools
A drill with bits, but can be done with screwdrivers.
Repair & Advice
I have a Speed Queen washer. Took off the front panel which has two screws at the bottom and then just pops off. On the back of the washer where the hose comes out there is a clip that you have to undo first. Then inside the machine where the hose connects to the pump you loosen the fastener that's keeping the hose tight. Then the washer has two clips inside which keeps the hose snug and in place. Once you loosen it will come right out. Insert new one, clip in place, insert on to pump, tighten fastener, pop front panel back in place, screw in both screws, on back of washer insert clip around the hose and in place. Done.
