Control panel would start flashing disco lights randomly. Wash would be interrupted.

Easy repair. Wasn't sure if the panel was defective or the main control board. Decided, after reading online, it was likely the panel as others had noted corrosion and shorts affecting the panel. That seemed to square with the symptoms I noted. Only point of confusion was there were two, possibly identical panels to choose from. Not wanting to take the dishwasher apart to get the exact part number, I guessed. Correctly as it turned out. I had to remove 6-8 screws from the interior panel and release the control panel and then disconnect the panel ribbon cable. Connected new panel ribbon cable, snapped in panel, jiggered it to fit, put screws back in...bi, bim, bap...it was back together and, even better, it works!!

Dishwasher wouldn’t start

Dishwasher wouldn’t start. Researched possible issues online. Found solution and what parts were needed, and for a little less than $120 repaired and saved our dishwasher.

Lights would flash and dishwasher would stop until I pushed the flashing button, happening over and over. The cycle would not advance.

After a year of nursing the dishwasher along, I did some research to find out what the problem was. I was afraid we needed to replace the dishwasher. It turned out we only needed a new control panel. I decided to order it and try to replace it before we called a plumber. We were able to fix it ourselves and best of all, it works like it is brand new!
