Dryer would run but would not heat

Repair & Advice
My dryer would run but would not heat up. I tested the heater and all the other sensors and they were good. I finally tested the timer with a multi meter based on the details I found on the manufacturer's wiring sheet inside the control panel area and found it was faulty. I replaced the timer by removing the old one , carefully switching the wires over to the new one and reinstalled it. That fixed the problem and the heat came on again.
