Problem
The KitchenAid dishwasher model KUDE40FXSS wold not complete a wash cycle. it would turn on randomly and attempt to run a calibration/test cycle but never complete the cycle. The diagnosis was a faulty control board.
Tools
T15 screwdriver, towel to protect wood floor.

If you do not have a custom outer panel, then the fist step will not be necessary and you can proceed to removing the outer door panel. It will be easier if you can get another person to assist with reinstalling the door panel.

Repair & Advice
If you do not have a custom front panel, then skip the first step and proceed to removing the outer panel directly. It will be easier if you can get an additional person to help reinstall the panel.

Problem
Problem: washer would start up, but in 30 seconds it drained and shutoff.

T20 bit
Repair & Advice
Removed DW door cover, unhook old motherboard, install new motherboard, put cover plate back on... turn breaker switch back on. Took me about 20 mins. Works like a champ.
