Problem
LG front loader washer WM2277HW would not turn on, but if you unplugged it and plugged it back in you could get it started. Leave it more than 10 minutes you'd have to "reboot it" again to get it going.

Phillips head screw driver
Repair & Advice
Interesting problem. Why would "rebooting" the washer get it going but for only a short period of time? At first I thought it was the much more expensive control board but then I found a wiring diagram and saw that there was a power conditioning circuit which LG calls a Noise Filter. This part is less than 1/4 of the cost of the control board so I thought that would be a good place to start. I also found a web page where someone had a similar problem and replacing this filter solved it so I gave it a shot. This is a 3 screw, 2 plug job. Make sure the machine is unplugged as the power goes directly to this filter first. Take the 2 screws off the back to remove the top, the filter is on the top right hand side looking from the front. Unplug the 2 color coded plugs, unscrew the 1 screw holding the filter in, remove it, place the new one in, screw it down, plug in the color coded connectors, put the top back on, plug the power in, and you're good to go. Hope your issue was as easy to solve as mine was!!
