Problem
Hole in bellows.
Tools
T-20 torx, phillips screw driver, 1/4" nut driver. A pick tool is very helpful to remove and install the retaining wire spring
Repair & Advice
1. Unplug washer or disconnect power. 2. Turn off the water supply to the washer. 3. Remove the top cover and the console. 4. Remove the lower front access panel. 5. Open the washer door. 6. Using a small screwdriver or a pair of long-nosed pliers, pull the tension spring on the retaining wire out from around the front of the bellows, and remove the wire. 7. To remove the door switch assembly: a) Pull the bellows off the lip of the front panel beside the door switch assembly just enough to access the switch assembly. b) Remove the two T-20 Torx screws from the door switch assembly. c) Pull the door switch assembly out and turn it over so that you can access the connectors. d) Unlock the tabs and disconnect the three wire connectors from the door switch terminals, then remove the assembly. 8. To remove the bellows: a) Remove the two T-20 Torx screws from the door switch assembly. b) Remove the front panel from the washer. c) Turn the bellows retaining clamp screw counterclockwise until the clamp is loose enough to remove it from around the bellows. NOTE: It may be necessary to completely remove the screw from one end of the clamp. d) Remove the bellows retaining clamp from around the bellows. e) Pull the bellows off the front of the tub. REASSEMBLY NOTE: When you reinstall the bellows, be sure to position the “weep holes” at the bottom. The hard part is getting the bellows in place properly and the retaining spring back in place.

Problem
Door Boot Seal to my 3 year old Whirlpool front load washer had pin hole leak in it.
Tools
1/4" nut driver, Flat Head screwdriver, Torx head bit set and driver
Repair & Advice
Watched several videos on line and they showed the jist of how to replace the door boot seal. However, they quickly skipped the most time consuming and frustrating part - actually getting the seal over the lip and snugged to of the outer tub before re-installing the screw clamp. I would liken it to much like changing an inter tube in a flat bicycle tire while it is still on the bike, in the dark, with only about 3 inches of space to move your fingers. I had a very difficult time doing this with the limited space between the drum and front cover and not being able to see. I ended up removing the top lid, removing the control panel, and removing the front cover and door assembling from the unit. Once this was done I could easily access the drum and install the boot seal on the outer drum and re-install the screw clamp. Had I not attempted for 30 minutes to put the boot seal on the outer tub with the front of the washer still on, and just removed the front, I could have completed the repair in less than 30 to 40 minutes. When it was all said and done, the part fit perfect, looks great and no issues or leaks. The best part was receiving the part in 3 days when the expected delivery was 5 to 7 days.
