Problem
Periodically dispensing water from door when not called for.
Tools
Phillips screw driver, hex socket, pointed nose pliers.
Repair & Advice
Access to replace the faulty valve was gained by inside of door. Remove door shelves, remove Phillips screws holding panel and remove panel. I removed water filter as a extra precaution against water flow. With door open, electric to valves is interrupted. Easy access to valves. Remove water lines from valves by pulling out small black clips. Make note of which line goes where. Use a felt marker to mark line so that when you reinsert line into new valve, you will know when it is in far enough to prevent leaks. Press inward on outer end of inlet while pulling on plastic line. Unplug electrical connection on valve. Undo mounting screws. Reverse procedure to in stall new valve. Once the plastictic lines are fully reinserted up to the previously made mark on line, reinsert black lock "c" rings. Plug electrical connection back onto valve, reattach using mounting screws. Replace door panel and shelves. Replaces or reinsert water filter. Check for proper operation after closing door.

Problem
Water was dispensing when ice maker filled. Ice was not full size. Also buzzing during regular water dispensing.
Tools
Needlenose Pliers, screwdriver, towel.
Repair & Advice
Take a picture before removing old valve so you can position correctly. Make sure wiring harness is routed away from mounting bracket so as not to pinch wires. Test before reassembling door panel. Water drains from fill lines, be ready to catch with a towel when you pull the lines. Reinsert lines by pushing in firmly, then pull back gently to lock. Then re-insert holding clip.

Problem
The water in the front of the door would go down all inside and not out to water hole.
Tools
Screwdriver to remove 6 screws to take off inside cover
Repair & Advice
Our water had not worked right not long after we got it. A guy came and got the ice part fixed but couldn't figure out why the water part wasn't working right and flooding the inside of the door instead of coming out where it is supposed to. We had a Sears guy come and it was going to cost us over $700 to fix it so we were like we will see if we can fix it ourselves. Ended up only costing us a little ov $100 instead and it was easy to install the Water Inlet Valve as it has plug ins on it and that is all you have to do and put the cover back on. We had looked for this part other places but the fridge has been discontinued so this was the only place we found the part in stock! Thank you Parts Dr!
