Problem
The paddle for the ice/water dispenser broke off the mechanism.
Tools
A Philips screw driver and a small thin flat blade screw driver.
Repair & Advice
Unplug the fridge. Remove the one screw under the ice/water touchscreen display. Under the front right side is a small notch that you insert a small flat blade screwdriver into about an inch and gently push inward on the screwdriver and the lowest front retaining tab will pop out and then you can gently go up and around popping out the rest of the tabs and the display will be free of its mounts. Unplug the display wiring harness. There are 2 screws holding in the ice/water dispenser. Remove them and the unit will be lose you can pull it slightly down and out. Disconnect the 2 wiring harnesses and pull the water tube out of its slot in the dispenser. To reassemble, feed the water tube into the new unit, and install the unit. There a couple of tabs on the back of the unit. When installing the unit tip it slightly backward and push up so the tabs enter the slots and the unit seats flush and the screw holes line up. Insert the 2 screws and reconnect the 2 wiring harnesses. Pop all the touchscreen display tabs into place. I had to push inward on the lower center portion of the display to get the one screw hole to line up. Plug the fridge back in, test the ice and water functions, and have a cold beer to celebrate your successful repair!

Repair & Advice
Very easy repair. Unfortunately , when the plastic dispenser breaks you need to replace the entire assembly. Remove one screw in the assembly and remove the entire unit by gently prying out the bottom right hand corner, there are a couple of retainers that you are releasing. On mine, one retainer clip broke during the removal - luckily it wasn’t a problem and the new one fit in well. Take a picture of how the wires are routed and release a couple of wiring harnesses on the old assembly to remove. Reverse the process to install the new assembly. I took my time and it only took 15 minutes. By the way - the part arrived in two days. I upgraded the standard shipping one level ($2 more) and I was extremely impressed how quickly the assembly arrived. Parts Dr was awesome!
