No interior lights and door function would not work.

8 in 1 screwdriver.

Super easy job task. Hardest part was pulling the fridge out and putting it back it. Remove 4 screws to take back panel off and expose clear cover with three circuit boards. Clear cover pops out to access the boards. Large middle board was bad. Unclip all the connections, pop the board out, and repeat in reverse. I have large fingers which made some of the connections harder to unclip, but was not that bad.

Refrigerator would shut down and you would hear constant clicking sound

Pliers screwdriver 1/4 inch nut driver

Pull out fridge remove control cover plate unhook existing board plug in new board exactly the same it's done that simple

Refrigerator has been problematic for 4/5 years we owned it. I had a repair done by a “licensed” repair center who called kitchen aid. The ice would not be made, water would not be dispensed, the lights would be off, the refrigerator appeared off. All sorts of glitches. The repair center called kitchen aid and the board in the drawer and harness was replaced.because of water infiltration. Well it was dry and I asked if this would fix it. It did not. And the repair center closed. I was out $425. The poor operation continued for a year.. I found out through research this board is the main CPU. I replaced it with the power supply and it’s been perfect. I fix cancer radiation machines and decided if you want something done right, do it yourself. I also made sure my outlet was giving 122vac. I received the parts quickly even though they were on back order. Top notch from Parts Dr.
