Problem

The timer was not moving, so it would just constantly run.

Tools

A flathead screwdriver,1/4in. Ratchet with extension and 8mm socket

Repair & Advice

I unplugged the dryer for safety. Then pulled the timer knob off. Removed the panel behind the controls and the timer is right in front of you at this point. Whirlpool has designed the electrical connectors in a way that you cannot install them wrong. After you remove the connectors there are 2 locking tabs that hold it on. Once you’ve pried it off of the locking tabs the new one can be installed I reverse order. After I installed the new one the dryer works perfectly again.

Repair & Advice

The timer on the dryer stopped working. The repair guy said it was just the timer so I ordered a new one and put it in.

Problem

Maytag Bravos dryer timer would not advance

Tools

Socket screwdriver, putty knife

Repair & Advice

Unplugged the dryer, took the screws off the back, popped the hood by sliding the putty knife under each side from the front, removed the old part, installed the new one. Figuring out the right part to replace was the tricky part. Installing was a breeze.
