Problem
Dishwasher was hit with a massive power surge (lightning?)
Tools
Nut driver (1/4) , screwdriver, pliers
Repair & Advice
The dishwasher received a massive power surge that burned up the control module and actually melted one of the wiring harness connectors. The end result being that I could not separate the connector from the module. A new wiring harness and module were needed.
The wiring harness for the most part matched the original, some of the wires were different colors but the connectors were all the same. TIP: If you have to replace a harness tilt the dishwasher as far back as possible and change the harness the bottom of the dishwasher.
I did it from the side and it took a while. Doing it from underneath the dishwasher would have take 15 - 20 min. Sadly the new module and harness did not fix the dishwasher. Cheaper and easier to replace it.

Problem
The plug to the main control board was charred.
Tools
Torx screw and driver/drill to remove front door panel. Screwdriver to remove screws attaching the unit to the cabinet. Adjustable spanner wrench to turn leveling screws. Pliers to remove clamps on drain hoses.
Repair & Advice
Remove the front door panel, Remove the dishwasher from the cabinet and move to an area with plenty of room. Lay the unit on its back with the door facing up. Remove and replace the plugs to the Main Board, the door switch, and the soap dispenser. Now stand the unit upside down so the bottom of the unit is facing up. Remove the rest of the plugs from old harness one(1) at a time and plugin new harness plugs one(1) at a time as you go.
