Problem
I returned from a trip to see that my refrigerator was no longer cooling and all of my groceries were rotting.
Tools
Bit driver, flashlight, screwdrivers.
Repair & Advice
My refrigerator was not cooling but the freezer worked fine. I removed the lower rear panel to access the mechanical and found a few wiring schematics and a diagnostic check instruction sheet. I followed the diagnostics and found the evap fan was not working. I pulled it out and applied power to it and it still did not go.
I ordered a replacement overnight and it arrived the next day. Install was quick and fridge works like new again.

Problem
Bottom freezer was working, but fridge wouldn’t get cold.
Tools
Philips head screwdriver.
Screwdriver with 1/4” driver bit.
Repair & Advice
On my model, the fan was located behind a full sized panel at the back of the freezer. In order to remove this panel to access the fan, there were several other things to remove first:
1st• THE BOTTOM FREEZER DOOR (with drawer and drawer slides still attached to it. There are two white tabs to push in for the drawer slides to be removed. There may also be two Phillip head screws near these tabs. Remove them)
2nd• THE DRAWER SLIDE GUIDES (they are attached to the side walls by four screws)
3rd• THE ICE MAKER (held by two screws on top, one on bottom, and a cable you must disconnect)
4th• THE FAN COVER (held by two screws)
Then you can remove the back panel (held by four to six screws, a ground wire clamped to a metal tab near a hole on the panel, and the ice maker cable that must be fed back through its hole)
All that’s left is removing and replacing the fan. Just remove any screws and disconnect any cables that hinder you from doing that.

Problem
Once I figured it out I pull the evap fan out of the back of the freezer and tested it direct and found it wouldn't come on
Tools
I use 1/4in driver a Phillips screw driver and patience
Repair & Advice
Okay first I noticed that the fridge was not cool an the freezer wasn't either but I notice ice on the evap wall where the fan is located I check all connections and for burns or breaks in wires and then check the control board everything seemed to be correct and in order so I started to deconstruct the freezer pull the fan out and plugged it into 120v and got nothing so that told me the fan was bad
